A View of Xinjiang

blue6

Xinjiang, the largest province of China, is not a hot travel destination. Its beauty includes breathtaking landscapes and cities that seem to be frozen in time, yet not many ever make it within its borders. With the recent unrest, tourism in Xinjiang has plummeted even more. Regardless of this, Gregory and Katelyn Haskins chose to visit the Uyghur land, and documented the trip in their blog, Our Blue Life. Their post on their trip to Xinjiang talks about their visit to Karakul Lake, as well as their take on Chinese politics in the area.

Attached is oneĀ of the over 150 pictures they included on the post. We encourage you to read their post and view all of the great pictures. It would be fantastic if everyone could travel to Kashgar, Xinjiang, but the Our Blue Life blog is a good substitute for the time being.
